(BEIJING, June 28) -- In an exhibition on Beijing's Olympic Games in Moscow, the mascots of the Olympics -- Fuwa caught the eyes of the visitors.
On Thursday, when the exhibition was inaugurated, five children clad in air-filled mascots greeted the visitors, giving the exhibition a special flavor.
More than 200 photos plus a show of promotional films made the viewers at Moscow's World Trade Center experience the panorama and life in the Chinese capital, which will host the next Summer Olympics in such magnificent venues as the "Bird's Nest" -- the National Stadium or the "Water Cube" -- the National Aquatics Center.
Beijing Mayor Wang Qishan, who is on a visit to the Russian capital, a sister city of Beijing, told the opening ceremony that Moscow is a place of happiness for the Chinese people as it was there that the announcement of Beijing's victory of the Olympic bid was made six years ago. Coincidently, the exhibition today is held at the same hall.
The exhibition, a trade fair, as well as a tourism promotion fair started on Thursday, were part of the June 27-30 "Beijing Week" in Moscow and a series of regional cooperation programs marking the "Year of China" in Russia.
